Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments commonly made with hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally found in the body that helps maintain hydration and volume in the skin. Filler treatments can restore lost volume, enhance facial contours, and soften the appearance of lines and wrinkles—all without surgery.
Depending on the product used and your individual treatment plan, dermal fillers may be used to smooth facial lines and folds, enhance and define the lips, soften lines around the mouth, restore volume and contour to the cheeks, and improve the appearance of age-related volume loss in the hands.
Results are temporary, and the duration of your results will vary depending on the type of filler used, treatment area, and individual factors.
Temporary side effects may occur following dermal filler injections. Common reactions include swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, pain, itching, firmness, discoloration, or small lumps at the injection site. When the hands are treated, temporary changes in hand function may also occur.
BOTOX®, Dysport® & Xeomin®
BOTOX®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® are injectable neuromodulators that temporarily relax targeted facial muscles to soften expression lines and create a smoother, refreshed appearance.
Common areas include frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines, and certain areas of the lower face and neck. Some uses may be considered off-label. Results typically begin to appear within several days and commonly last 3–4 months, although individual results vary.
Treatment is customized to your facial anatomy, muscle movement, and aesthetic goals, with an emphasis on natural-looking results.
Forever Young BBL®
Forever Young BBL® is an advanced BroadBand Light treatment designed to improve sun damage, pigmentation, redness, visible vessels, and signs of aging. Treatments help create clearer, brighter, more even-toned and youthful-looking skin.
What Does the Research Show?
Published research involving Stanford University investigators found that BBL treatment was associated with changes in gene expression in aged skin toward patterns seen in younger skin. Additional research has found that patients receiving regular BBL treatments maintained a more youthful appearance over time. While BBL does not literally reverse biological aging, regular treatments may help improve visible signs of aging and maintain healthier-looking skin.
BBL delivers customized wavelengths of light to target brown spots, sun damage, redness, and visible vessels while supporting collagen remodeling and overall skin renewal. Common treatment areas include the face, neck, chest, back, arms, and hands. Downtime is typically minimal. Temporary redness, warmth, or mild swelling may occur. Brown spots often darken and develop a speckled or “coffee-ground” appearance before gradually flaking or fading over approximately 1–2 weeks.

Chemical Peels

SkinPen can help improve the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin texture while supporting smoother, healthier-looking skin.
SkinPen vs. Laser Resurfacing
SkinPen is an excellent option for patients seeking collagen stimulation and skin rejuvenation with relatively minimal downtime.
Advanced treatments such as HALO®, MOXI®, and TRL® may be better suited for more significant sun damage, pigmentation, deeper wrinkles, or advanced resurfacing.
SkinPen typically works best as a series of treatments, with results developing gradually as new collagen is produced.
Fractora® Radio Frequency Microneedling
Fractora® is an advanced radiofrequency (RF) microneedling treatment that combines microneedling with controlled RF energy to stimulate collagen remodeling, improve skin texture, and tighten the skin. By delivering RF energy beneath the skin’s surface, Fractora provides more intensive rejuvenation than traditional microneedling alone.
Tiny needles create controlled micro-injuries while delivering RF energy into the targeted tissue. This combination activates the skin’s natural healing response and uses controlled heat to encourage new collagen production and remodeling. Treatments can be customized based on your skin, concerns, treatment area, and desired results.
Some patients notice improvement after one treatment, although a series of treatments may be recommended for optimal results. Improvements can continue to develop over the following weeks and months as collagen remodeling occurs.
Fractora RF technology may also be used to address excessive underarm sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis). RF energy is delivered to targeted tissue to reduce sweat gland activity and may help decrease excessive perspiration.
ClearV®
ClearV® by Sciton is an advanced vascular laser treatment designed to reduce the appearance of unwanted visible vessels and vascular lesions. Its precise laser technology targets vessels beneath the skin while minimizing damage to surrounding tissue.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

ClearV is ideal for certain small, visible vessels that can be treated through the skin without injections or incisions. Larger varicose veins or vessels associated with underlying venous insufficiency may require medical evaluation and a different treatment approach.

SkinTyte®
SkinTyte® by Sciton is a non-invasive light-based treatment designed to improve mild skin laxity and create firmer, smoother, more youthful-looking skin without needles, incisions, or surgery.
SkinTyte uses infrared light energy to gently heat targeted tissue while cooling technology protects the skin’s surface. This controlled heating supports collagen remodeling and new collagen production, helping the skin gradually appear firmer and more toned.
SkinTyte can be used on many areas of the face and body, including the face, jawline, neck, abdomen, arms and knees. SkinTyte is typically performed as a series of treatments. The recommended number depends on the treatment area, degree of skin laxity, and individual goals.
Because collagen remodeling takes time, results develop gradually and may continue to improve in the months following treatment. SkinTyte requires minimal to no downtime, and most patients can return to normal activities immediately. Temporary warmth or redness may occur following treatment.
Votiva® Vaginal Rejuvenation
Votiva® is a non-surgical radiofrequency (RF) treatment designed to address changes in vaginal and external vulvar tissues associated with aging, urinary stress incontinence, childbirth, and tissue laxity.
Votiva delivers controlled RF energy internally and/or externally to gently heat targeted tissue. This process supports collagen remodeling and new collagen production, which may improve tissue tone, firmness, and overall quality.

Forever Bare BBL®
Forever Bare BBL® by Sciton is an advanced light-based hair reduction treatment designed to provide long-term reduction of unwanted facial and body hair.
Unlike shaving, waxing, or plucking, Forever Bare BBL targets the hair follicle, reducing its ability to produce new hair. Hair grows in different cycles, and treatment is most effective during the active growth (anagen) phase. Because only a percentage of hair is actively growing at one time, a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart is necessary.
Most patients require approximately 6–8 treatments, although individual needs vary based on the treatment area, hair color and thickness, skin type, hormones, genetics, and response to treatment. Occasional maintenance treatments may also be recommended.
Is Hair Removal Permanent?
Forever Bare BBL provides long-term hair reduction. Treated follicles may stop producing hair, while remaining hair may become finer, lighter, and less noticeable. Hormonal and other changes can cause new hair growth over time.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment for spider veins and certain small varicose veins, most commonly on the legs. It is an effective treatment for reducing unwanted visible veins and may also help improve symptoms associated with abnormal veins.
A specialized solution called a sclerosant is injected directly into the targeted vein using a fine needle. The solution causes the vein to close, allowing blood to naturally reroute through healthier veins. The treated vessel is gradually absorbed by the body and typically fades over several weeks to months.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Some veins respond after one treatment, while others may require multiple sessions. Your treatment plan will depend on the number, size, location, and underlying cause of your veins.
If you experience aching, heaviness, swelling, burning, or discomfort, further evaluation may be recommended to determine whether underlying venous insufficiency is present.

EVLA
Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat varicose veins caused by underlying venous insufficiency.
Instead of surgically removing the abnormal vein, EVLA uses laser energy to close it. Blood then naturally redirects through healthier veins, treating the underlying source of problematic varicose veins.
How Does EVLA Work?
Using ultrasound guidance, a small laser fiber is inserted into the affected vein through a tiny access site. Controlled laser energy closes the abnormal vein, which is gradually absorbed by the body over time.
Recovery is generally quick, and walking is encouraged immediately after treatment. Most patients can return to routine daily activities relatively quickly, although temporary activity restrictions may be recommended.
Compression stockings are commonly worn following EVLA to support the treated leg and help minimize swelling, bruising, and discomfort.
What Happens to the Treated Vein?
The body does not need an abnormal vein that is no longer efficiently returning blood toward the heart. Once the vein is closed, blood naturally reroutes through healthy, properly functioning veins, and the treated vein is gradually absorbed by the body.
At Mountain Surgical Arts, we use diagnostic ultrasound and advanced minimally invasive treatments to address the underlying cause of varicose veins, not simply their appearance.
Micro-Phlebectomy
Microphlebectomy, also known as ambulatory phlebectomy, is a minimally invasive procedure used to remove visible varicose veins located near the surface of the skin. It may be performed alone or as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for varicose vein disease.
How Does Microphlebectomy Work?
After the area is numbed with local anesthesia, the physician makes tiny punctures along the affected vein. Specialized instruments are used to gently remove sections of the abnormal vein through these small openings.
Stitches are typically unnecessary, and scarring is usually minimal.
What Is Recovery Like?
Downtime is typically minimal, and walking is encouraged after treatment. Temporary bruising, swelling, tenderness, or firmness may occur as the treated areas heal. Compression stockings are commonly recommended to provide support and help minimize swelling and discomfort.
Will Removing the Veins Affect My Circulation?
No. The veins removed during microphlebectomy are abnormal superficial veins. Once removed, blood naturally redirects through healthy, properly functioning veins.
